Judging - practical information
Changing of classes
Once the entries for a show have closed, and the catalogue has gone to print, transferring a dog from one class to another is not allowed. this also applies to dogs who have achieved the Norwegian champion title after entering the show, as well as dogs who have achieved working merits, who would both, according to our Norwegian Show rules, be obligated to change class.
JUDGING AND CRITIQUES
Written critiques will not be given at EDS. This is common practice at most European and World Winner shows. Diplomas confirming the result of the quality assessment will be given out to all participants.
The diplomas will also confirm placement in class, CAC and CACIB results, and placement in best bitch/dog and BOB/BOS, if applicable. The diplomas will be handed out in the ring. Ring stewards and writers will be present in the ring, as per usual, and the ring stewards will guide the exhibitors in normal manner. The practices in the ring will be in accordance with FCI regulations.
Gift vouchers for the winners may be collected at the Norwegian Kennel Club organizer’s office. Please remember to bring your diploma. The cards can be used as payment for prize items in the Norwegian Kennel Club official shop in Hall A.
The judging will be in accordance with the FCI regulations. The exception is the awarding og the national CERT (certificate) which will be handed out according to Norwegian show rules (section 11.13).
Diplomas confirming the result of the quality assessment will be given out to all participants. Rosettes will be given to BOB and BOS, and also to the title winners (including best junior, best veteran and CACIB winners), as well as to dogs achieving the Norwegian Championship title.
Gift vouchers will be given to the winners of CAC, CACIB, Res CAC and Res CACIB, BOB, BOS, Best Junior, Best Veteran, and Breeders Group awarded HP (Honorary Prize). The gift vouchers may be collected at the Norwegian Kennel Club organizer’s office in the glass hall, located by the wardrobes and entrance by Hall. These may then be used to pay for items in the Norwegian Kennel Club official shop in Hall A, where you will find a broad range of products for both dogs and owners.
The shop will also sell participant rosettes, excellent rosettes, as well as rosettes for CAC, CACIB, Res CAC and res CACIB, and winner of best veteran and HP Breeders Group.
The judging of puppies during EDS will take place in the respective breed rings, as far as this is possible. Only puppies between 6-9 months compete. The puppies will be given a quality assessment, and then be compared to the other puppies of the same sex. The winner of best male puppy and best puppy bitch will compete for the BOB and BOS puppy. BOB puppies will then participate in the Best Puppy final each day. The finals each day will be held in Hall C, ring 37-38.
